Transform from a recreational shooter into a skilled competitor with our Introduction to Competition course. This class focuses on the essential skills and knowledge needed to excel in competitive shooting.

Class Requirements:

  • Firearm and Ammunition: Participants should bring their own competition-ready firearm and at least 200 rounds of ammunition.
  • Protective Gear: Eye and ear protection are mandatory during range time for participant safety.
  • Holster and Magazine Pouches: A quality holster and magazine pouches suitable for competition are required.

Course Details:

  • Range Procedures and Range Commands: Learn the standardized range procedures and commands used in competitive shooting.
  • Required Equipment for Competition: Gain insight into the essential gear needed to participate in shooting competitions.
  • Effective Draw and Reload Technique: Master the techniques of efficient drawing and reloading for speed and accuracy.
  • Course Walk-Through & Preparation: Understand how to walk through a course to plan your approach and maximize your performance.
  • Sight Picture and Trigger Control: Develop the critical skills of sight alignment and trigger control for precise shooting.

As a licensed USCCA Instructor for Georgia and a SLED-approved CWP Instructor for South Carolina, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our training programs. Additionally, my experience as a United States Practical Shooting Association Competition shooter enriches the training environment with practical, real-world insights.
